Optimal Appearance and Sound

Thanks, again, for booking an interview with Transforming Talent Podcast.

As you prepare for our interview, I wanted to share some vital audio and video tips.

If you commonly use Zoom, or appear on podcasts regularly, you’ll really appreciate these.

In the video below, I outline all the equipment and software I use for audio and video.

I hope you have plans to create new business from our time together. Stay tuned for my next video tip. Tomorrow’s video will not only help you on my show, but the dozens of other shows you’ll be on in the future.

Zoom

We’ll be recording on Zoom video. Try to be well-lit, so we can see your smiling face! Avoid lights/windows from behind.

Download Zoom (free) here:

Audio Equipment

Please have a quality microphone ready to go prior to our interview. Gaming headsets and internal laptop microphones are usually very poor quality and will require rescheduling our interview.

Three good microphone options are:

  • ATR-2005
  • Blue Yeti
  • Blue Snowball

Order these on Amazon and you can have any one in as little as 2 days. If you would like to do more podcast interviews, this is something you’ll want to have.

As a last resort, Apple AirPods and AirPods Pro are typically okay quality.
